課程概述

本課程旨在講授近代英國歷史的演變，討論1500至1900年間，英國近代歷史的重要課題，包含：英國近代國家的形成、宗教改革、內戰與革命、立憲政治的建立、海外帝國興起，工業革命與社會變遷、民主政治的發展等。 

課程目標
 一、修課學生認識近代英國歷史的演變與重要議題。
二、提升修課學生之英文閱讀能力。
三、培養修課學生歷史寫作的能力。 
課程要求
 選課學生須具備研讀英文歷史論著的能力。
